All training sessions and workshops are led by Kathryn Latimer Jones DipAVN, DipHE CVN, CertEd, CertVNECC, RVN.

Kathryn qualified as a veterinary nurse 25 years ago. She spent the early part of her career in primary care and then later as a lecturer in Veterinary Nursing. In 2007 she returned to clinical work, joining The University of Liverpool within the Small Animal Teaching Hospital and then some years later joined Northwest Veterinary Specialists, a multi-discipline specialist-led referral hospital. Her passion is high-dependency nursing whether they are surgical or medical patients. She is also a tutor for the Vets Now Certificate of Veterinary Nursing in Emergency & Critical Care and has published several peer-reviewed articles in The Veterinary Nurse.

In 2020 she travelled to Sweden to attend a RECOVER CPR Instructor Workshop. This was an intensive, 2-day workshop led by Dr Dan Fletcher, co-chair of RECOVER and Kenichiro Yagi, Programme Director.

Becoming an Instructor and holding regular Rescuer Workshops was very important to Kathryn, as these events are not held frequently and are rarely available in the UK. Now that she can offer Rescuer Certification, there is a perfect opportunity to help upskill the teams responsible for training in their hospitals.
